Privacy Policy — Flavours ICS

Flavours ICS ("the app") is a cafeteria pre-ordering app built for the International Community School (ICS) community — students, teachers, and staff. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and how you can control it.

Who can use this app

Flavours ICS is intended for use by ICS students (secondary level and above) and ICS staff/teachers only. Account creation is restricted to @ics.edu.jo email addresses (plus a small number of designated test accounts used during development).

Information we collect

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your grade/class (students) or position/department (staff)

When you use the app, we collect:

• Your order history (items ordered, order status, timestamps)
• Feedback and ratings you submit about your orders
• Your loyalty points balance and history
• A push notification token, so we can notify you about order status updates, staff replies to your feedback, and promotions

We do not collect payment card details or process payments within the app.

How we use this information

We use the information above solely to operate the app: to create and manage your account, process and fulfill your food orders, respond to your feedback, track loyalty rewards, and send you order-related notifications. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your information to third parties.

Who we share information with

Your information is stored using Firebase (a Google Cloud service) and is shared with Apple and Google's push notification services solely to deliver notifications to your device. We do not share your personal information with any other third party.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your account and order information for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact us at hfhamdan@gmail.com and we will process your request within a reasonable time.

Data security

Data is transmitted using industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) and stored using Firebase's security infrastructure, with access restricted by role (student/teacher, staff, or admin).

Children's privacy

Flavours ICS is intended for secondary-level students and above, and staff/teachers. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
